I had the pleasure of meeting Bdige (aka Brandon) for an in person trade and wanted to share the story. I had posted a trade looking for a number of things and offering a number of things. Brandon messaged me saying he had Zombie Dust (one of the things I was looking for) and was interested in the Sour in the Rye I had up for trade. We planned to meet at Churchill's Pub in San Marcos on Saturday the 3rd and trade at least one bottle of Sour in the Rye for 4 bottles of Zombie Dust, and he had said he was interested in a 2nd bottle as well. I texted him on the 3rd and asked if he was at Churchill's (which is only about 5 minutes from my house) and he said that due to all the excitement of the event he had forgotten the Zombie Dust. He then offered to drive all the way to his house (about 45 minutes away) and all the way back. I didn't want him to do that so I told him we could meet somewhere in the middle. as I arrived at the meeting point, he texted me and said he had gotten home and was on his way, but also invited me to go over to his house. I had nothing to do that day so it wasn't a big deal to go to his house. Once I got there and met him, any slight annoyance I had felt about that day completely vanished. He is the nicest guy in the world. Not only did he trade me 5 Zombie Dust bottles and an Alpine Chez Monieux (something I had wanted to get but missed the release) for my 2 bottles of Sour in the Rye, he also gave me an entire growler of Zombie Dust along with a Three Floyds Amon Amarth Ragnarok and a Founders Backwoods Bastard. He also offered me a bottle of BA Plead The 5th, which I couldn't accept. His generosity really blew me away, along with the fact that he was a really cool guy to talk to as well. I just wanted to publicly call him out in the forums for being so generous, thanks a ton Brandon!
Yes, he's pretty darn cool. We set up an in-person trade and he had me meet him at his bottle storage/locker facility. As he's pulling out the agreed upon beers, he keeps pulling out other random ones "Here, take this. Oh, you'll like this. Have it. I have a ton of vintage Russian River sours. Here, let me find some for you." I was speechless. Good people. If I lived down the street from him in Lakeside or something, I'd def hang out with him more. Running in to him at the most-recent Alpine Chez Moniuex release was a pleasant surprise. Cheers, Brandon!
