You may have been the only poster I reported for language upon my first venture into the WBAYDN, likely for an attack on Scream. I was like, "Who the hell is this asshole, and why is he cussing out that poster with no provocation?". I scrolled further and gained the context and was like "Oh, this is my kind of asshole." Had a good laugh, still do in the WBAYDN threads.

Hope you stay safe as well and hope all goes well Scream and you are able to go out and about real soon!

You see @vabeerguy do not be so "mean" to me !

And, have a bourbon for St. Pats you have earned one - but just one !

I have probably cussed more at you than the rest of the Advocates combined. One of these days I will figure out why that is.

That bourbon recommendation sounds good. Speaking of bourbon, my brother in law in Pennsylvania told me that state stores in his area are closing for awhile and he got the last two bottles of bourbon after standing in line for 45 minutes.

Yes, I am a hoarder... picked up two cases of six packs of Weltenburger dunkel and marzen and Hofbrau dunkel and maibock. Really disappointed to not be going on our Bavaria and Hungary trip in May... all that great maibock :slight_frown:

If we drink our calories via beer, does that mean we'll poop less and toilet paper supplies will last longer?

You can say that again. In fact, I will propose a toast to Todd for the great resource/online affinity group hangout center. Let's tip our hats and glasses to the Alstroms for hosting the best online beer group ever. Cheers. Let's get through this together and continue to share everything about great beer.

Governor shut down all the bars, restaurants, and taprooms so I am heading down to the liquor store to stock up on Crowlers. I'm listening to Jimmy Cliff singing "Better Days are Coming" and drinking a Wadlmann Pilsner.

Amen brother. When it comes to toilet paper the country is no longer beating a dead horse, they're pounding its skeleton into dust. There's enough angst right now without any discussion of politics. Todd's right, be safe and compassionate. It's ancient wisdom and often overused but remember: If each person treated all people as they would like to be treated there would be no need for the military, police or prisons. I wish each and every one of you the best in these uncertain times.

PA's state owned liquor stores are all closed until further notice
"All locations of Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores will be closed at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Grocery stores that sell wine and beer will not be prohibited from doing so, according to the PLCB."

Excellent statement and sentiment and judging by the number of LIKES it appears to be well received.

    Stay alert and safe.

    Well said, Todd!

One of the "friendliest" days that I can remember was the aftermath of 9/11. Everyone seemed so courteous and pleasant to each other.

Why do we need a disaster to bring out the best in us?? Man is a strange beast.

As far as the peeps on BA, they are some of the nicest folks that I have ever yacked with. They've kept me around this joint for going on 18 years!

Thanks for the kind words and your not so promising statement Todd :-)

I would like to take this opportunity to give you all an update from little Belgium.

Our government and other European governments are currently evolving from quarantine to lockdown.

This slows down and pushes our economic activities to a final standstill. Orders are delayed and others are cancelled, beer sales at Struise brewery have stopped two weeks ago.

Due to health & concern for our team and according to the guidelines set by the Belgian government, Struise brewery has been fully closed since March 13th and will remain closed until April 6th.

In the meantime, we are keeping our hearts set on ensuring that these strict measures are not made worse or prolonged. Our society is being threatened and the damage is difficult to oversee or quantify. We mourn the many casualties and express our strength to all those who have already lost a relative. Furthermore, we wish everyone on this forum and beyond a safe and secure journey.

    Cheers,

    Urbain @ Struise

Very well said, and the replies have been great. The struise update is a great reminder of how massive this problem is, and how the trickle down impact effects everyone.

I have many great beers to consume at home, but they always taste better when drinking with friends. Hopefully that age-old practice can be resumed before too long.

    Cheers and prayers to all.
