Beachwood BBQ Beer Releases Thread

Anyone know the bottle count?

 

My wife told me that our server said either 1300 or 1600. So, based on the comment above that there were more than 120, the 1600 number must be what he said. He was actually surprised people showed up so early because he thought that was a high bottle count for them.

It was a nice surprise that they were still selling Melrose bottles and Rye Like and Eagle, so I went ahead and filled out the box.

 

anyone have any intel on other places that have it for sale? I stopped by the whole foods in long beach after striking out at BWLB. They said it came and went. Stern's liquor said to try next week. How about other places in OC?

 

Are you sure? I thought it was brewery only.

 

usually a few cases make it out to a few select stores. Usually sterns, bills and a few other places get them

 

Did Beachwood specifically say that? Not doubting what you are saying but I just want to be sure so I don't go searching for it.

Actually in 2013 (I think), I bought it at total wine.

 

i was told by two different stores that they will be getting a case at each store

 

Got confirmation that there will be 1 case or so at whole foods long beach which may have sold out already and 1 case at stearns but besides that doubt many more will receive it if anything just 1 case

 

2 weeks ago on Insta, Beachwood stated that SOAS will only have super limited distro to super local accounts.

 

Thats how it always is. And they usually get it a week or two after the release. In addition, Stearns had Tovarish for about 3 days and tovarish sold out just as fast soas. So there is hope for the folks that missed out.

 

Anybody know if soas is oak aged? If I recall they used Brandy oak chips. The bottle (Batch 3) however identifies the beer as oak aged. So just wondering...

 

Looking at the HopCam...Looks like Melrose and Udder Love bottles sold out in the madness too. Rye Like An Eagle still there all by its lonesome.

 

A little bird told me a collaboration with Highland Park is forthcoming (don't know about bottles but draft for sure)

 

HPB is getting around. Cellarmaker IPA released next week, another collab with Monkish and now Beachwood. Damn, that little brewery on York is working over drive. Way to go Bob!

 

Hope they choose a solid style I'm guessing saison ?

 

Hopefully. That seems to be HPB's strong suit
