Anyone know if this release at Beachwood will include bottles? Or is it only tap?

 

Are you asking if they'll be offering bottles for off-site consumption?

 

If you're asking about bottles for off-site consumption, I don't believe Beachwood has the retail license necessary to sell non-Beachwood bottles. I would assume this is tap-takeover and onsite bottle consumption only.

i noticed that vanilla rye is not on the lineup for today

 

I'm sure they wouldn't mind. I will bring a growler or bottles to share with friends often. And it would be wise to share with the barkeep! For those going tonight have fun and get there early as it will be crowded. I'll pass on this one like most of BW's events.

 

So about that Tovarish.. That escalated quickly. Sold out pretty quickly at both locations.

Though I keep hearing conflicting reports that it would hit distribution while others have maintained that it was a brewery only release. Looks like much fewer cases were made of the stuff.

 

Snuck in early at SB on Friday and grabbed 3 bottles and had a grapefruit sculpin. Then a glass of Tovarish. Not bad. Thought the bottle of System (2013) I opened X-mas day was better. Maybe with age. Line of hoarders at 1130 and line still going strong when I left hour n half later. Getting crazier every year @ BW.

 

Yeah luckily a buddy texted me and reminded me... was able to grab 3 bottles but couldn't stay for pours. Did they have the Almond Joy Tovarish on cask like they always do

 

this tovarish release was fairly subtle. No Russian themed food and from what I could see, no special cask.
