yeah, as much as the LB has decent grub, I'm there mainly for the tap list as the SB food is so damn much better.

Thanks for posting - now I can get on with my day and stop contemplating the idea of heading down there.

Beer geeks are the worst. When was the last time you saw a wine line?

I could be wrong, but I don't think that is in the best interest of their "restaurant" business. Even though BPT would still make people go there to pick up their beers, I bet they would pull in a lot more $$ during a release cluster. It seems like during releases people overindulge a bit more... ie, they are in party mode.

They won't recently talked to Greg (last blendery release) about that and he was mentioning that they don't feel their at that level yet to start using BPT. I love bpt and after Firestone I will never wait in line. I do feel like the breweries that do not use bpt want us to stop by and not only buy bottles but also food and more beer.

FWIW, I'm not buying food or draft at Beachwood because the wait is over an hour. If things were a bit more spread out maybe their restaurant could handle the load better.

Kern had the Citra lottery event and everything went as planned. . .spot on. It was busy throughout the day serving food and great beers through the weekend. Before the lottery it was busy too. But it was more of a clusterf@ck. Plus you had plenty of pissed off customers who did not get bottles. Smog has recently started going the BPT route and they don't have food. Each release is getting more and more busy as new peeps are finding out about it. Maybe BW are or will be making more beer in the future but it will still get busier. I didn't bother with BWLB last anniversary event. I am still able to get a special release bottle or 3 even without going the day of. I'll let the newer and younger kids enjoy the fiasco. And I think they are finding out too that it's not worth the hassle.
