Just saw on the beachwood release calendar that pride of cHops is being rebrewed In October. I love that beer and am very excited

Also just noticed two new beers, or at least I've never heard of them....The independent and invasive species

The Independent sounds like a Societe beername

Pride of cHops was the first Beachwood beer I had. Came across a few cases at Hi-Times just sitting there (before a secret handshake/password was required) and picked up two bottles. Boom! Nothing would ever be the same again.

So it looks like the only fills that will require an extra charge are growlers that will require "growler label wrap." As for SS growlers, since the kind that Societe sells has both 2L and 64oz markings, will Beachwood reject them?

I think they would be rejected on the grounds they're not amber screwtops. You can cover up the Societe logo (I did that with my 1L SS so I can use it at Phantom and HPB)

I'm curious what rules and regulations changed. Or if they just revised their reading of the law recently.

They realize, like many others, that they're losing the amount of money on growler fills and moving beer simply because the desire to make $5-10 bucks on glassware was there.

Yup. I'm one of those who stop taking my BW growler to get filled. Been going over to HpB to fill my non-HpB covered growlers with some outstanding IPA's. Monkish too.

    Hi all,

We would like to clarify that in fact we do fill SS growlers from other breweries, as long as the gasket is in good working condition.

    Friends,

Vito from Beachwood here. Many of you may know me from my bartending days in Seal Beach, and others may know me through interactions on social media. I've been with Beachwood for the last 4 years, and am currently the Communications Manager for all three Beachwood Companies ( BBQ, Brewing, and Blendery). Over the course of my time with Beachwood my favorite part has always been being able to share a like-minded passion for independent craft beer with all Beachwood fans. More so, having a dialogue with people whether it was at the bar top or online, has been invaluable not only to me as a beer nerd, but also to the role I play within the company.

Recognizing the importance of dialogue in this sense, I wanted to be able to have that in this forum. From here on out, feel free to utilize me as a liaison between you and Beachwood for any questions you might have in the future. I'll try my best to answer them all, to the best I can.

    Cheers and #DontHazeMeBro,

    Vito

Hey Vito. David here (from the really great and fun dayz at SB). Congratz on the new position bro. I know it's been a few already but haven't been around SB these days as much as I'd like too. Without Charlie as the side kick and without Linda, Shelby, Harmony, Merit, etc. its not the same as the old dayz. But it is still my favorite place.
What's going on with BWHB location? I know you guys are brewing your world class beers there. But what about future plans? I'm just down the street and Beach City was a nice quick stop in and hang out with Derek, Harrison (now with BW) and Jim. I'm hoping to able to stop in again....soon. Maybe we can meet up there for another round? Cheers bro. Hope to see you soon,

    @Beachwood_Vito

Jeff here, been drinking your fine beers since day 1. Sorry to put forth questions so quickly in your new gig but.. Any news on when we will be able to use 32oz growlers? And what happened to bottled MM this year?

And finally the question that matters the most, when will we ever see a BA MM?

    Hey David,
Great to hear from you! I too, rarely have time to make it in to Seal Beach as often as I'd like and like so many of us who reside in the area, it was the place that fueled my love for this industry and the community of fans who make it possible. I definitely remember having my first ever Heady Topper, HopSlam, and Zombie Dust in the same sitting when you came straight off the plane to Beachwood Seal Beach and shared those gems with me! Damn, now I'm thirsty...

As for BWHB, we have been working tirelessly to finish our brew house upgrades, while at the same time brewing BW beers on the operational system we have in place. Furthermore, our tasting room in HB is also still undergoing construction and we hope to have that finished within the next few months. Once we have a hard date in place, rest assured I will be screaming it from the mountain tops! When that's all ready to go, I hope you're the first person waiting in line to have a beer with me.
    Cheers Buddy!

    Greetings Jeff,
The questions and dialogue is what I was hoping for, didn't want all you BW fans getting shy on me!
As most of you have seen we recently updated our growler policy, and although 32oz. growlers are not a part of our program at the moment, we value all of the feedback from our fans and take it all into consideration.
For Bottled MM, we will be setting a hard date for its return later this year, stay tuned!
In regards to a BA MM, it is an idea we have been playing around with, but at the moment it isn't much more than just an idea. Who knows, if you all start a petition and get 100,000 signatures maybe it could happen. Which is scary considering you could get half of those signatures at a Monkish can release.
    Cheers Pal!

I second adding a 32oz growler to your inventory. No problems killing a 32oz of 9% and above in a single session. Or filling two 32oz of different BW IPA's to take home. Now let's talk BW can's.........16oz of Melrose, CitraHolic, Udder Love, etc. You see what I mean? Crowlers?

I definitely think for higher abv beers, a 32oz/1L growler option would be nice. It's rad to take home 64oz of Mocha Machine, but it's a tough job to crush it

Forget all this 32oz, canning, BA MM.

The real and most important question that I need a god damn answer to is:

WHEN IS BARREL AGED HOT SAUCE RETURNING!?!?!

    I'm dead serious here.

Thank you for this question! The deliciousness of Beachwood Barrel Aged Hot Sauce is currently aging in barrels, and like most things aging in barrels, it will tell us when it is ready.
