Good, but Monkish and Highland Park are doing better right now.

Good. Rather see this than a bunch of shelf ISOs.

In my opinion it was the real winner. Fiancée agrees. Berliner was nice and balanced. Pretty sure they will use it as a base going forward.

I am surprised there isn't more talk about the saison, it was on point IMO and I can only imagine what it taste like out of the bottle.

Anyway the release went smooth, they handed out doughnuts and iced coffee which was generous. I like the whole ticket idea where I can roam and come back before 330pm and be guaranteed bottles

This isn't nearly as bad as the "Alpine Brewing Thread" that has been haunting me for over a year now...

went down at about 5 o'clock just to check it out and taste the beers. not crowded at all and still had bottles of the berliner weiss.

they did a great job with the space. forgot to ask about the glassware i saw online. next time. can't wait to see what they get up to in the future. wish i could have had #1. just for the sake of consistency.

The Saison is really nice, it's tart and the brett comes through as fruity more than funky so it has this really awesome tropical fruit character to it.

It's funny that suddenly LA has 3 different breweries that are doing refreshing tart saisons to the point that we're comparing them to each other. Worth noting that the Blendery beer was all on stainless and not barrel fermented at all, and also all brett (no lacto) which makes it a bit different than the house styles from the other two guys.

For the record, I think all 3 are making fantastic beer.

They were pretty upfront when they started this whole project that the first few beers they brewed were just going to be base beers for later blends. I think it's pretty cool that as consumers we're able to taste along with them as they experiment with these brews. It's 2016, good breweries don't need to hype anything anymore. We do that well enough on our own.
