Last thread was locked to further replies. New quarter new thread.

New Hazy IPA alert at HB location at least. Mibrosa. Hazy IPA with orange zest. I dont like fruit in my IPA's, was not a fan of desert island drams, but this was not too bad. Subtle orange zest.

Oh and I heard that since Beachwood is now distributing with Stone brewing, the back area where people hangout and play jenga will be for additional stainless steel tanks. No more back hangout area. More beer being brewed.

Anniversary coming up next weekend. Stoked to see Jean Quad and Sadie on tap. No Rye Like an Eagle, though...

I had a crowler of it this week, like you I am not a fan of fruited beers but this worked, just a subtle back ground note of orange which worked really well with the hop bill. I would definitely recommend it, perfectly refreshing for these hot summer days and nights. They've had 28 Haze Later on the coming soon list for what seems to be a month at least, one of my favorite BW beers.

    Cheers,

28 Haze Later looks to be released on 7-22 for their 7th Anniversary Bash. It’s in the line up for pours that day. One of my favorite hazes from BW. Looks like another epic list on an epic day. I would love to go.....but.
Had a full pour of Mibrosa yesterday at HB. I thought it was good. I didn’t get much of that zest though. Also did a small share of some ASB cans. Compared Mai Tai can to ddh Mai Tai can. Between the 4 of us it was a tie. Both good. Moved on to a few half pours of Melrose. A bottle of Umeboshi was accidentally opened and poured into a couple few glasses. WOW! Growing up as a kid with a Japanese mum I hated the salted plums then and I still hate them today. Not a fan of the salted plums. As far as the glass of Umeboshi? One and done. Movin’ On.....another half pour of Melrose to wash away the sour salted plums taste. Didn’t work. Maybe a bottle of Arrogant Bastard?

Anniversary this year falls on my birthday. Looks like I'm getting sloshed at LB. Hopefully I'll see some of you there.

Loma Prieta is tasting great, especially with the weather. Mibrosa kind of tastes creamsicle-like at first, then rapidly becomes something in between a tangerine and a cutie, but a little pithy.

Just saw the prices in the email for Hoppler Effect and Simcoast to Coast 4-packs. I mean, that’s a steal considering the prices we’re all used to paying these days.

    $15.99/4 pack for Hoppler
    $12.99/4 pack for Simcoast

I see the other can release is out. Good.

Beachwood and Brouwerij are at the forefront of reasonably priced four-packs for quality beers.

Except when I buy Brouwerji West cans at Mr Kegs. It’s seems like they are $3 over what it cost at the brewery.

To be fair....Mr Keg’s pricing is fair to good. Yes it’s my local and go to. Some are above what I’d pay. But most, the price is good. As long as it’s fresh I will pay. Richard gets some really good cans and bottles. And the elder still shows up once in a blue moon.
