Beachwood Nov. 5-7

Mine was Abner, but have absolutely no qualms with this. Fantastic IPA.

The wording probably should have read that there would be tappings at both 11:30 AM and 6:00 PM.

 

Yeah. I had a feeling that given their wording, it would be something like that. I figured they didn't have enough kegs of everything to cover the entire day.

I like the Hill Farmstead list. Hope some of their stuff will still be up on Sunday. Doubt it. But you never know. First, road trip to Kernville today. Back in town tomorrow. Might try and stop by BWLB on way back.

 

Just looked at the Long Beach HopCam...No surprise that almost everything from yesterday's event looks like it's wiped out. In a crazy world, I was hoping it would last til tomorrow when I fly in. I guess I'll just settle for their house brews. Sad state of affairs I know.

 

They did have Amalgamator and SoaS on tap yesterday. Might still be there?

 

I was probably 30th in line and was able to get a table with a few buddies. Tables had a 2-hour time limit, but unlimited amount of beer orders so we ordered 4 Fou, 4 Abner, a few Rose, Oude Kriek, and 3 Double Citra right off the bat. Food came out ridiculously fast and our server tried her best to keep the beer flowing. Props and thanks to all of the staff that worked that day! I had a great time and like everyone else, truly enjoyed Abner. It was liquid gold.

 

So like, that was an amazing weekend. Of course all the Cantillons/3F/HF was great. Sadie is phenomenal. Amalgamator is probably my favorite IPA out there still. De la Senne Band of Brothers was probably my sleeper hit... like a west coast pale ale with British hops. Thanks Gabe, Jean, and all the staff who were busting their asses for all of us.

 

What a wild night. Lined up at like 4:30. Waited what felt like an eternity. Almost didn't get in before FF kicked, but managed to try all 3 Cantillons on tap, as well as Double Citra, Edward, Nelson, and 3-4 others. Got a growler of Amalgamtor too (and a pour of Sadie). Good job to BWBBQ, I really have nothing bad to say. It was a ton of demand and they still kept their cool, even with the crazy drama that brewed up outside Go Beachwood!
