Beachwood Ode to Lambic

Special menu looks great... going to need some of that Shoo Fly pie with Cantillon Kriek whipped cream. Also Cuvee Jeune w/ Peach Puree and Lactose sounds divine... Lost Abbey Track 3 and JP Bambic on draft are also insane... going to be there for a while, will bring paycheck to sign over and a few beer to share.

 

Track 3 and Bambic were far and away the best beers there. I brought bottles to share, but we were seated inside, way back. We weren't near the big table with all the bottles, so I took'em home...

 

glad I finally got to try some Beatification. Cheers for the beers, lads!

 

Got there late, but still got a chance to try everything but Track 3 and Beatification. It got a little annoying being told they ran out of bottles instead of the truth that they just didn't want to open any more the last hour. I totally understand not opening more bottles, but we're all adults here no need to lie and say "we ran out" as the bartender walks by with a hand full of said bottles still caged and corked.

 

I was pretty bummed I didn't get to try The Bruery's Cuvee Jeune...was looking forward to that one

 

Same here. They said the cask never showed up....

At least I finally got to try Beatification, which was my favorite of the night. Other honorable mentions belong to Lost Abbey's Track #3 and JP Bambic.

 

They didn't pour the cask at Provisions yesterday either. It turns out you can't really put puree in a cask. I guess that makes sense.

 

They had the same beer on cask at the tasting room last Friday. And according to facebook, it looks like they finally got it working...

Shame it wasn't pouring at Beachwood as I really enjoyed it.

 

It's possible he meant they "ran out" in the sense that they ran out of bottles they had allotted specifically for that night's event. That may be a generous interpretation, but Beachwood's staff has never been anything but gracious and accommodating so I'm inclined to give it to 'em.
