    Bear Republic Brewing Co." Texas ABC has approved the label and we will start shipping Big Bear Black Stout again towards the end of the year."

    Pasted this from their FB page. I sent a few e-mails a while back inquiring about Big Bear since the label laws have changed. They replied and thanked me for my interest and nothing happened for a while. I commented the other day on a Bear Republic FB post basically asking them why we don't have Big Bear back yet and finally got the response I was looking for. Looking forward to seeing this one back on shelves in our neck of the woods. Cheers Texas....

    Old labeling laws... Something about the "ale in Texas" bit.

    No, more of an export stout. One of their best beers

    It only said stout. At the time it was pulled it needed to say ale somewhere on the package.

    Will be here around the end of the year - they've got a two or three month turn-around time on orders right now. Also approved: Racer X.

    Yes. A few cases have lingered since the TABC realized they made a label approving boo boo.

    I'm really hoping some Racer X makes it down this way. Never had the privilege and obviously BR is one of my favorite breweries...needless to say a long time want.

    Great stuff at a great price...just walked out of Arbor Walk with 2 bombers at under $10. Yet another reason to love Bear Republic...
