Bear Republic in CT

Who the heck would pay that?

 

Have never seen Bear Republic in CT.

 

Have yet to see anything fresh enough for me to purchase in MA.

 

Bear Republic in CT!? Haven't heard a peep of this happening,but I take your word for it.Excited to hear this for sure.

I get weekly beer and wine updates from Southington via email and never any mention of Bear Republic. But the beer department didn't know Hoptimum was out in 4 packs either.

 

Be careful the shop is illegally selling, who knows how old it is. Bear Republic has confirmed they don't distribute to CT.

 

Just was there and they pulled it. The guys were treating me like I was a spy. It would have been nice to have had a sixer. I drive to Massachusetts all the time for it and would have gladly spent the extra $2. I understand its illegal to sell it but I was gonna offer the kid that helped me a sixer of nugget nectar as a trade which I believe is legal. If you are reading this sws employee I'm the dude with blue sweatshirt and shorts. Contact me if u want to trade since u can't sell it.

 

Real shady, wonder who at the store was responsible for that sale?

 

Idk but for a few minutes today I thought things were about to get a lot better here in CT and to find out it wasn't legit kinda sucks

 

I honestly wouldn't purchase anything from that store. Major price gouging(IST was like $22 there back in Jan.), old stock, and employees with mostly little knowledge.

 

It's a shame there are stores out there that try to take advantage of their customers. It makes one wonder what else have they done to make a quick buck off the customer. I'll never shop there.

 

Thats right,this is the store that was selling IST for $24.99 a bottle!! Figures they pull some shit like this w/ Bear Republic....got me all excited about them being in CT. now,only to find out they are playing games.Thats a hefty fine if I'm not mistaken.......

Completely agree, got IST there they quoted at $18 and was $24 when they rung it up. The Kenny powers look a like beer guy was pretty shady. Plenty of other good stores in the area to support.

 

Too bad; I've heard rumors that Bear Republic and Green Flash will both be coming here along with a new craft-centric distributor, and was hoping this news was confirmation of that.

Oh well, at least Goose Island is legit.

 

Yes I have heard this as well. Ive heard green flash, bear republic and founders will be brought in. The distributor I believe we are talking about is "Craft Beer Guild" out of MA. I did some research and found that they were hiring for many positions here in CT so it looks like they are getting set up to make things very interesting for us in CT. I actually tried to apply for a position but my CPU is all screwed up and I couldn't apply they way they were asking for. Oh yeah, I also spoke to Ted Whitney of Avery and he said they will be back too in the near future. Can't wait til this all comes to pass!!!
