Bear Republic in CT

I've decided to believe at most 50-60% of what I hear, even here on BA, when it comes to distribution. Even official announcements from breweries have a habit of getting postponed due to one thing or another.

Plus, my view leads to more pleasant surprises. For example, I just last week quite happily for the first time bought Cisco "Woods" series bottles in CT. Woohoo!

Bear Republic and Green Flash have been available in Albany, NY for years. Green Flash IPA on tap now and then at Olivers and Westmere for growlers. Racer X on tap now. Racer 5 22oz bottles are a lot cheaper here.

 

CBG Rep came into the store today(willowbrook-cromwell). CBG should have their first shipment by May 24th. Confirmed Sixpoint, Green Flash, Clown Shoes, Black Diamond, Eerie, Atwater will be available. Possibility of other brewers as well. Founders will be distributed by HDI. Let the fun begin! Life is about to get way better...

Can you let us/me know if the store gets the shipment on the 24th? I would love to stock up on some Green Flash and Clown Shoes for the weekend.....

 

Absolutely, ill let you know for sure. We just filled out our paperwork for the state to do business with CBG today so we are ready as ever.

 

Hey Ive been told June 6 now. Hopefully this is the only time I have to tell you they pushed the date back.

Hey smutty we talked to our Rep from HDI and they just placed their first order with Founders! Looking at 3-4 weeks for them.

 

Just placed our first order for GF, Clown Shoes and Sixpoint!!

 

Is HDI statewide, or will Founders only be in Hartford County? It would be disappointing if they came to the state, but didn't make it down to the coast. Here's hoping we'll be seeing a Founders tap takeover at Prime 16 yet!

 

As far as I know HDI does not cover New Haven,Fairfield and litchfield counties. I know that for our area HDI will be the distro however I have no idea what the deal is for Southern and Western CT. It would totally suck if you guys didn't get it.

 

One would assume that Founders wouldn't go to the trouble of paying CT's outrageous licensing fees just for the privilege of selling beer in a single county. Does anyone have info on whether they've struck deals with other distributors as well? If so, ETA?

 

Yeah you are absolutely correct. Was at work and found out they will be statewide but not sure what distro. You'll definitely be getting it down there. When I know who is distributing it ill give u a shout.
