I've only been there once when they were reportedly selling BR. It was definitely a shady store.I wouldn't say I'm seriously upset. While id love offerings from the breweries u mentioned I think its fucked up how they're doing it. I just thought it was funny when I saw this guy that's store is pushing craft beer like its crack. Next time I see you on Bill I'll talk to you.

I wonder if we're talking about the same store or not - I've never noticed Bear Republic at this one, and haven't been there over the past few months when they didn't have at least something from Cigar City and the Bruery...

I think the BR was a one time thing. My main reason in being a little pissed is this guy was hanging around reps from CT's newest distro and he sells beer illegally. It really doesn't look good for distro reps to be hanging with a store that does that especially being completely new to the state.

Figured I would throw this out there:

After talking to a rep. from drinx unlimited I was told that they are working on bringing Dark Horse to CT.

My local go to beer store manager said that he was told Great Divide and Avery may return to the state
    as early as Jan. 1st.

    This would be sweet.

    Cheers All............

Was just at a local store and heard that Drinx is working hard at getting Bells into CT. I really can't see us getting it before any states around us, but it would be huge.

I also heard that GI is bringing BCBS to CT. I think this is a bit more believable, as multiple people at different stores told me this. If this is true along with news of Great Divide, Avery, Tröegs, and Firestone Walker coming (back in a few cases) into CT I will not have to leave the state for almost anything. Fingers Crossed....

Nice to hear more breweries interested in CT. But I'm fine if they all pull out and the good guys at NEBCO keep working their magic with hops!

Bells would be huge news! Trading for two hearted is kind of lame.

    Yeah,I heard Bell's as well(Pretty Please!)
I am hearing that New Belgium is waiting to see which distributor Bell's picks and they are gonna follow.

Believe it or not,I heard a rumble that we may see Short's sometime in the future.

    Cheers All.........

Bell's would be nice to have if just for the Two Hearted, although I'm always amazed at how expensive their beers are when i see them in PA, I can only imagine how much worse it would be here. New Belgium would be cool if we could get their Lips of Faith series of bombers. I don't know much about Short's, but I've only ever heard bad things.

Frankly, I'm very skeptical. FW, Troegs, Great Divide, Avery, New Belgium and Bell's? That sounds a bit too good to be true. I'll start believing it a bit more if I start seeing even a single one of those start distribution here.

Yeah I just asked FW via twitter and here is what I got; "@FirestoneWalker Sorry Rob. We don't have any current plans to add CT to our distribution footprint. We'll look at it next year, tho" - better than a never, but no plans as of now

Yeah that is increasing my suspicions that all of this is nothing more than a rumor. I don't think New Belgium had any plans to expand until their NC brewery opened.

Troegs recently expanded, but their website still states:

Admittedly, though, that still their references brewery being located in Harrisburg, as opposed to Hersey, where they recently moved.
    Bell's website says:
    Time will tell, though

Call me a pessimist, but I am more inclined to believe these two statements than unsourced claims from store employees.

Avery and Great Divide I'm a little more willing to believe and will remain optimistic about.

I'd be with you if they didn't get founders, GF, Sixpoint... Right (which all had no mention of expansion our way). No one ever told me FW was coming except on these boards (something about contract brewing somewhere in CT). Bells was told to me, but that they are trying to convince them to come here.

As for Tröegs, my brother lives outside of Hershey and he will ask them in person so I should get more info from the horses mouth.

I really am just impressed with what has happened in such a short time. So these would just be icing on the cake (and amazing considering what Nebco has produced as of late).

Yeah, I should mention that on the positive side, just the last couple months has seen the arrival of Sixpoint, Clown Shoes, Founders, Green Flash and maybe a couple others so it's not completely ruled out.

All of the info that I have posted is mainly coming from the Drinx Unlimited Rep. that I chat up here and there.

Bell's,New Belgium etc. at this point as posted already don't have any immediate plans,I was told that drinx is trying to "get cozy" w/ these guys so that it could be possible in the future.

And as another BA has said,Green Flash,Founder's etc. never gave us nutmeggers a heads up.So heres to hoping!

    Cheers All........

So GI bourbon county brand stout is being released in CT on the week of the 24th of this month, per the Chicago Tribune. Cant wait to see it on our shelves. Mark another one for my beer store guy.

I will be out of the country the week of 9/24, going away for my honeymoon....I would be forever grateful if some kind soul would pick one up for me. I would repay you and include something from my depleted cellar. I do have a few FBS down there...
