As of today, my company is receiving a truck full of Bear Rebuplic after a half-year hiatus. Lots of specialty offerings and lots of package.

    Cheers!

Depends how fresh it's going to be...

I'm excited, also this might be a great strategy going forward. It's like how a band's reunion show always draws much better than when they were active.

The BR flavor profile (Racer 5, Hop Rod Rye) tastes very 2005 to me. Given the similar price point, I'd rather buy Stone or Firestone Walker if I'm looking for hops from CA. And I always liked Red's Rye and Sixpoint Righteous Rye better than Hop Rod Rye, but of course those beers are basically dead.

I do like some of their DIPAs, but they're not worth the shittiness of bombers.

I dunno--BR is quality beer, but it's not worth getting excited about given other options, its price, and its never-ending freshness issues.

I'm not excited. I can't see this run being much different than when they were here before. Maybe a small push right when they come back and then dusty old bottles everywhere.

Honestly, even though they were gone, I still had no trouble finding (probably old) BR

Too many good options available at this point. Shelf turds galore I would assume.

Although they make some good beer, I quickly forgot they were even gone. It's not like I run to the store thinking "I'm going to get some BR today". Any beer that has to travel across country to get here is already at a handicap to me (at least for most of the styles they offer).

Beware of undated Racer 5 12 packs. Wouldn't be surprised if some retailers put some of the old crap out for sale (ie Marty's).

Never realized it left. Still on shelves at some places I frequent.

Judging by my local beer stores, they never left.

You'd be think the beer buyers have some self respect when it comes to stuff like that, but $$$ speaks louder I guess

I still see old bombers in stores, but not the six packs. I prefer Racer 5 to Sculpin, so it's worth an occasional six pack buy. But honestly, there is no beer or brewery now that can't be easily replaced.

I'll be pleased to pick up the odd bottle of Big Bear Black Stout or Hop Rod Rye on occasion.

IIRC, Racer 5 was/is significantly cheaper than Sculpin too.

Hop Rod Rye was a favorite for me back in the day. If this means I can actually find a fresh one for once, I'll might give it a go.

Hopefully the relaunch will include some of their one offs. Tartare was pretty awesome.

Good to see BR getting back to their shelf turd ways...I spied a 12pk of Racer 5 priced at $25 this weekend.
