The Bear is Back

That time of year is upon us. The cones have plumped and the bear smells that sweet smell. Our ode to the vine, our tribute to the trellis, the Sticky Fat American Dark Ale is now.
For us, working with freshly picked hop cones is more of a free form shaping of raw materials with an end unique to those specific events. As a result, each year we work with new ingredients, in new amounts with new results. 2012 Sticky Fat is less of a groin walloping hop bat and more of a round embrace from The Bear himself. Please join us in celebrating the harvest, the end of summer and the Sticky Fat Bear.
As one old codger from the Pacific Northwest remarked, “The Bear, he fat and lazy. I seen him one time, he look me square in the eye. I see him again, I might shoot him. He eat ‘em up, I got nothin’ left. Damn Bear.”
