Other breweries in the area are charging more per oz for similar adjuncts, and I'm pretty sure they will be selling singles today...

It was good, super chewy, pretty decent flavor to it. Not mind blowing, but pretty good showing for their first stout. Would like to see what this tastes like in PVW barrels after I reverse mortgage my house.

Stout is pretty good, heavy chocolate bomb obviously. Hopefully BI has limits for future stout releases. Rookie move to not have any, especially with the it being weekend before Christmas.

Case limits are hard for a brewery to establish without consistency in selling out everything. Also, it’s kind of pretentious for a brewery to institute a case limit on their first non BA stout. The only other base beer that has a limit is Oro Negro, and that’s a “top 250” beer and costs twice as much. A brewery is a business first and foremost and isn’t going to chance ruining their bottom line .

That being said, Hoof Hearted has a pretty good ticketing system set up through Eventbrite, but that additional overhead cost is going to come out on the consumers end. BIBCO costs enough as is.

Yea can't really blame the brewery as they had no idea how the release would be, and this was the first time something sold out the same day. They even flirted with the idea of selling individual cans.

People would have called it a rookie move if they said no limit all week, and decided to change it prior to opening or right after opening. It's just beer. There will be more. And I can't wait.

I'll be most likely visiting Nashville in June and Bearded Iris is high on my to-visit list. That being said, I have a couple of questions.

    1) What does their food situation look like? Coming from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area many breweries have food trucks parked nearby or have restaurants near/on premises. Is this the case with BI?

    2) Would I have an easy time buying beers to-go?

    1) They sometimes have a food truck onsite but that hasn't been happening lately. Plenty of great restaurants in Germantown, and you're welcome to bring in food or have something delivered.

    2) Yes

Roll call for the anniversary party? Sounds like there should be guest taps and 2 brand new beers being released. You should come.

Looks good, but does this mean that we won't see anything from any barrels?

Doubtful unless there is a surprise can or draft. The other can will be some sort of raspberry IPA, assuming raspberry Colorwheel.
