Moon Dust is killer; really dug Money Trees (Modern Times collab) as well.

Moon Dust left Chocolate in my mouth for about 15 minutes. Very rich, it was good, but like most BIBCO beers, I don't really want to pay that price for a 4 pack. Really like the Taproom though.

$20 for a 16oz 4 pack of imperial stout is actually priced pretty well.

I totally disagree. I also think $16 or $17 for a 4 pack of beer is also really highly priced. I understand that the cost of materials is much higher in NE IPAs. Luckily I don't live close enough for this to matter to me though.

That's basically standard price, and actually sometimes on the low end, of basically every brewery in the country that does NEIPAs.

Definitely. I'm near Aslin, and their 4 packs range $14-22, with stouts going for $8-$10 for one can. That's $32-40, for the mathematically challenged.

100% agree. It's the equivalent of < $7 for a 22oz. I'll sign up for that all day.

Not to pile on, but I am surprised you balk at this pricing given that you buy JO stouts. They are in the upper echelon of pricing.

There's something to be said about barrel aging vs. regular pastry stouts. I've also stopped buying them though. The more I think about it, $20 isn't that unreasonable, it's just sticker shock. It's going to be the new norm, though.

I was actually thinking about the $6ish for a single 375 bottle of their non BA stouts. Adjunct or not.

They are one of the only companies that I have access to (although only a couple times a year) where I have to really decide if I want to spend the money. During stout season there are a few as well. If only we were all independently wealthy .

I looked online. Is there a release this Friday? Wife is going to be in town.

    Thanks!

Instagram says Magic Word fruited pale with pineapple and boysenberry. It's possible another Friday release will be announced today or tomorrow.

Stopped by last Friday, mood ring and that weldworks collab were awesome!! All their ipa’s were good, but those were the stand outs.

Do the Friday releases typically sell out day-of? I'm heading down on Saturday for opening, wouldn't mind going home with something.

Recently they have been making it a few days. I was able to score the last mood ring release on Sunday at open.

It's really a crap shoot. Since they've switched the more hype-worthy beers to Friday release (instead of Saturday) the last few times, they've seemed not to be selling out on day 1. So...I think you'll be fine arriving relatively early on Saturday. Don't hold me to that though...

No worries, and thanks for the response! If worst case is I just get BI on tap, it's worth the trip.
