Opened a bottle of this with a buddy Chad(Cpferris) a few weekends ago. Sad to say that age has not done well for this beer and goes to show that most American sours/wilds simply do not age like their Belgian counterparts. This batch has lost all of the characteristics that make Beatification my favorite RR sour. The tartness/sourness is completely gone and it had a somewhat unpleasant medicinal aftertaste. Almost difficult to finish the tiny bottle between the two of us. I guess my expectations were too high. I had a bottle of this a few years back while down at Stone Sour Fest and it was still a fantastic beer. Has gone downhill quite precipitously since then. All good things must come to end I guess. I wouldnt hold onto this beer any longer if you have one in the depths of your cellar/fridge. Happy that I still have bottles of much fresher Beatification in the cellar.
