I'm curious what the brewery price for Beatification is, and what the current "value" of the various batches might be. Contemplating purchasing one, but wanted to do my homework a bit first and figured the folks here would likely know as much as anyone else about the value on these bottles. Also, is beat only 375s, or are there larger bottles as well? Thanks.
thanks for the reply/info. I recently had a chance to buy a 375 of b2 for in the neighborhood of $60, and just am not sure if I was right to decline. I'd like to pick it up because some of my trading partners want to try Beat, but I wasn't sure if $60 was anywhere near market value on that beer or if it was just a sick, price inflated joke intended as an idiot tax.
FWIW, I was just at Toronado SF and they had B1 Temptation for $75. Might be a somewhat helpful comparison.
toronado sold B2 bottles for 30 i think during the second round of cable car sales. their prices seem to be going up though. 60 for a B2 isn't too bad, i'd consider it if i hadn't had it.
I'd just wait for the next batch (6). Should be coming in the next few months, but that's purely speculation.
City Beer had B3 for in-house consumption for around $60. Damn good too. I bought a few bottles of B2 and Temptation B1 from Toronado but they were only $40.
