You guys really don't think it will sell out by the end of the first weekend? Sure 1000 cases is a lot of beer, but they will get at least 1000 people through the door by the end of Saturday and maybe a little less on Sunday. The major difference is people can wait in a separate line to just pick up bottles which I would assume a majority people are going to do, rather than stand in a line to get a place to sit and eat.

If I were a betting man I would say they would sell at least 3/4 of their cases by the end of the first weekend and Beat may not even make it to the second weekend without some sort of case limit per day. The beer scene is out of control right now with beer events selling out in minutes, people waiting hours for West Ashley and other hot releases. Seeing that this is a Russian River release which people go ape shit for, I don't see it lasting more than a week, if not less. Just my .02 cents!

They did the same thing last year, and it took several weeks to sell out. It's double the limit of last year, and there are more people into beer, but I still doubt it'll sell out in the first weekend. I'd say a week sounds right.

I'm willing to bet there's a lower limit by day two or three. Like ffac.....

There is no way I can make the release, so if anyone wants to pick me up up some of this, I would definitely make it worth your while. Send me a message if you anticipate having extras.

Yeah... and all IPA's taste like hops.

Also, my friend was at Russian River yesterday and he said the new batch of Supplication is not as good and tastes "watered down"... I refuse to believe him. Has anyone else tried the new batch and confirmed his insanity?

The lactic acid is usually sooo strong, masks other "oak" or "funk" flavors. But that is just me.

And I'll let you know on wednesday.

    Hey CA BAs,

I am going to be traveling to SF for my brother's wedding in January. This trip will, of course, include a journey to RR on Sunday jan 5th.

I know beat will be gone by then, but i was wondering if anyone reading this might be interested in buying an extra couple of bottles for me? I would gladly pay you for the bottles plus bring some fresh abrasive, other beer from my cellar, or local MN stuff. If you're interested in setting something up IP for the 5th in santa rosa, or earlier (1/2 or 1/3) in SF. Shoot me a BM!

    Cheers!

I must preface this question with the statement that I am new to the craft beer scene.

With that said; How trade-able is Beatification? Moreso than Pliny?

In other words..is it worth crashing at a friends in SR to get some on Sat to use in trades for stuff like Darkness/HT/ZD/West12?
