    Thoughts? Feedback?
I was sadly disappointed after opening them. I'm a fan of most of their Wild Oats series but these were underwhelming. SBP was not good and the Mr.Hyde even worse.
Liked 2 Weeks Notice, and Oktobock was passable.
I guess I still have fond memories of the Bogfather running through my head.

    The Beers!

The Oktoberfest Mix Pack features the following tasty brews...
    1) Smokin' Banana Peels
    Rauch Weissbier • 4.9% alc/vol
Smokin’ Banana Peels, see how it feels. Smokin’ Banana Peels features an intense banana aroma, a classic characteristic of a Weissbier, that has been matched with a bacon-like smokiness of a Rauchbier. It’s so mellow (Ya, Ya, Ya). Pouring a shade of mellow yellow, Smokin’ Banana Peels’ flavour mirrors its aroma with a prevalent smoke character from the smoked barley malt that is balanced against notes of banana and clove. The finish is dry, tangy, and zesty. Smokin’ Banana Peels is best in between meals of banana pancakes and bacon.

    2) Two Weeks Notice
    German Porter • 6.0% alc/vol
This rare style was developed in the early 20th century by German brewers as a direct competitor to the popular London Porter. While there are many similarities between the two styles, German Porter is unique because it is brewed with lager yeast and is typically stronger than an English Porter. Two Weeks Notice features aromas of chocolate and coffee, malty sweetness, a medium body with flavours of roasted malt, and a crisp finish with a lingering mocha character.

    3) Mr. Hyde
    Roggenbier • 7.0% alc/vol
Roggenbier is a Bavarian rye beer that was quite popular in the medieval era, but fell into obscurity after the use of rye in brewing was outlawed. Glowing a deep copper colour, Mr. Hyde displays vibrant floral aromas and herbal, peppery flavours. Mr. Hyde features an aggressive use of German hops which provides a characteristic bitterness in the flavour and aroma, while rye malt provides a spiciness and earthiness to the beer. Mr. Hydee finishes with a pleasantly dry, lingering bitterness.

    4) Oktobock
    Maibock • 7.0% alc/vol
Oktobock is Beau’s reinterpretation of the Maibock style, and was created specifically for Oktoberfest. Crisper, hoppier, and slightly more bitter than a traditional bock, Oktobock was designed to be paired with the unpredictable Autumn weather. Oktobock pours a bright orange-gold and features aromas of biscuit, candy sweetness, and spicy hop bitterness. A medium body is complemented by peppery flavour and a pleasant malty sweetness, and the finish is crisp and clean. Oktobock is the perfect Bock for celebrating Oktoberfest.

I was disappointed right when I heard what the beers were gonna be. Mr. Hyde is by far the best of the pack if you ask me, with the other 3 just being average, if that. I'm mostly just annoyed that Koru and Dark Helmut, two of the best beers they've ever done (and for Oktoberfest last year), got snubbed out of this because they "don't want to release one-offs two years in a row and instead create new brands." Except they added Oktobock which was one of the worst last year, and allowed people to vote Screamin' Beaver into the holiday mix pack again.

I don't know, I like Beau's and would love to have a bunch of their one-offs around more often, but I feel like they're becoming quite frustrating for me. Shame because they really so many good things going for them outside of just the beer itself.

So far I have had 3 of the 4 (Mr. Hyde being the exception) and I have been VERY disappointed. The 3 I have had have varied between disappointing and average. I think I am done with Beau's. At least for a while.

Only had two from the pack since I had tried the others at Oktoberfest. Didn't like 'em at all. I was talking to some guys from Montreal that had stopped at Beau's on a trip to Toronto a while back and they commented that Beau's seemed really overrated and didn't seem to make anything too interesting.

They need to pick it up or risk getting left behind.
