What are people trading for or whats the trade value or Beautification?
I dont have a ton of rare stuff. Best I could come up with would be maybe some limited off the shelf locals that don't get out of Michigan. Probably not enough to get some Beautification. Maybe I should just try to get some of the other RR sours?

Well if you live near khunnen(I can never remember how to spell it) you can probably land it with some limited or a bunch of their regular beers. Just seek out the forum, there are some people who only want reasonable beers for it. The other RR sours are much easier to obtain though, just throw out an ISO.

    It's beatification btw

kbs, cbs, cbh would do it i'm sure. if you get the goose island bcbs variations, those have definitely done it. i traded 2 beats for 2 brambles.

or you can ask the bay area guys to go and pick some up for you, they've been taking real well to that.

Oh, lol poor spelling on my part thanks.

I may. I'm close enough to kuhnhenn's, don't worry I cant spell it either, that I can get whatever from them if they have it. I have talked to some people about he other RR sours and it seems They're generally available and can be had with mostly off the shelf locals, Shorts and stuff like that. Now just to figure out if I want to go just for the Beat or any RR sour. It just seems like there is a lot of it going around FT right now so Im assuming this is the time to get it.

    Maybe Ill try then.

Really? They would do that or is that sarcasm?

All I have is 2 bottles of KBS and one is spoken for. I don't have a cellar, the rare stuff I get I drink. so I just kinda have what I have.

Indeed he is not (but let's not turn this thread into a rehash of the Pliny (mis)pronunciation debate); for Beatification, though, it should be pointed out that the common mistake of Beautification isn't just a mispronunciation or misspelling, but an entirely different word.

Beatification, i.e. The action of rendering, or condition of being rendered, supremely happy or blessed (OED), fits in perfectly with the religious theme of the other -tion beers: Redemption, Salvation, Sanctification and Supplication are others on the positive side of the spectrum, while Temptation, Perdition, Deviation, and Damnation are decidedly more sinister.

Vinnie ain't talking about planting trees in a vacant lot or any other kind of aesthetic improvement project...

edit: To give an answer to the OP's query, I would echo the suggestion of Kuhnhenn; Bourbon Barrel 4D would seem to be a logical place to start.

half and half. i find it entertaining to see the pushback when requests like that are made. but i know a lot of people have gotten it done. see e.g. oreo's haul:

Agreed! But I bet many who spell Beatification correctly also pronounce it wrong (instead of bee-at-... they would say beat-, rhyming with meat-).

And to the OP, I highly recommend trading for as many Russian River beers in one shot as you can afford. Well worth it.

Lol, yeah I bet. I think Ill avoid that for now at least.

Yeah, I don't know if I can afford a ton, but I suppose I can try for a couple right now. I will get them all at some point though.

Ill have to keep a better eye our for the Goose Island stuff, Ive probably seen it and went right by because I didnt know what it was. Also it looks pretty tasty.

I also think I may give Kuhnhenns a call or just swing by, me and the GF were actually just talking about it. She wants to try the Creme Brulee Java Stout . That could be the path of least resistance on this one.

I offered half a westy 12 brick + glass for 2xBeat+a local bomber. The trader I found happened to be a RR local, so he just put in another bottle of beat, after I added a bit more on my end.

It certainly doesn't help that so many people insist on abbreviating the word as just "Beat." Try as I might, I just can't read that as the first two syllables of the word being shortened.

As a way of remembering, perhaps you're familiar with Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, which included the Beatitudes, with the first four letters forming two syllables: bee - at. Now that I think about it, the Beatitudes (pronounced "beat") would be a great name for a Christian rap group...

A handful of us from Sac made multiple trips to get some of you Beatification at cost plus gas, food, and some beers. I did it about 3 times, and it was a good deal, but after so many trips up, it wast enough for me to go anymore. It's at least 5-6 hours out of my day to go, and just to get free food and beers there just wasn't worth making another trip. I think they will be out today, so thank god. I've been getting messages daily about muling. I'm sure the guys I got beer are happy, and I am too, I was able to drink a Beat everyday I went. It was cool, but man am I done going for now.

    Sorry guys, not muling anymore.

Just a tangent about the muling a lot of us did. As for trade, Bourbon County beers do it, as well as other brewery only beers around the same price. Good luck, it's a great beer.

Realistically you should be able to fetch it with another enormous bottle count brewery release only beer like Darkness, BA Blackout, LeBleu, Dark Lord, etc. but a large portion of the California trading population is awfully butthurt because they couldn't get Rare/KH/CBS etc for Pliny and Supplication so they're asking for the moon and stars.

I've only been on here for 5 years but I've never seen anything like this. It's hard to compare this to CBS but the level of ridiculousness with Beatification B5 is unlike any other release I've seen as far as asking price.

    There's the trading forum I remember.

OP, I tried to go bottle for bottle with Beatification on BCBCS and/or KH. That's about where I'd value them.

basically, whatever region has beer that the poster wants is full of people "asking for the moon."

have to admit though, claiming to have watched the trading forum for years and having "never seen anything like this," is climbing on the shoulders of the preposterous and waving a new flag of absurdity, attempting to bring the trading forum hoards into a new era of just posting whatever bullshit comes to mind.

edit: to use a terrible idiom, i don't have a dog in this fight, but that's seriously the most ridiculous post i've read in weeks (more ridiculous that any trade request--parodic or otherwise--or idiotic post-midnight drunk thread that gets deleted in the morning).

Why is it ridiculous because you don't agree with it? As stated, I've only been trading regularly for 4 years and while there have been plenty of beers that have been hyped to death I have never seen a beer with the tangibles of Beatification Batch 5 (release, allotment, and bottle count) demand more in the trading forums. It has nothing to do with my personal plight to obtain it, it's just insane. As for my jab at California traders, relax. But thank you for being a blowhard and dramatic.

lol @ "dramatic". you've never seen people ask more than you thought was reasonable? you're either disingenuous or stupid. sorry.
