My wife has a conference out there this summer. We plan on landing in Denver and hitting a good lunch spot then driving to beaver creek. Any good places around beaver creek area or in the area.

Plenty of decent to good breweries along the I70 corridor on your way to Beaver Creek. On your way, you've got Idaho Springs with Tommyknocker. Good food, decent brews there. Proceeding west, once you get into Dillon/Silverthorne, you've got Dillon Dam Brewery and Rug Ryans in Dillon and Backcountry in Frisco. Breckenridge's original brewpub in Breckenridge isn't too far south of Frisco if you're in for a bit of a detour; otherwise, continuing west on I70, you've got Crazy Mountain and Gore Range in Edwards which is real close to Beaver Creek. Not sure about bars, liquor stores, etc but breweries abound.

Beaver Liquors in Avon has a decent craft beer selection. They used to have Russian River most of the time, but I doubt they have it as long now since it doesn't really sit on any shelves nowadays.

Good recommendations from above. Check out Prost in Frisco as well. Cool little, and I mean little, German bar with a fun happy hour and good sausages and all sorts of German snacks. Backcountry is my favorite brewery along the I70!!
