Becks bought in USA is now made in St Louis, but what about Canada. Is Becks still imported from Germany into Quebec or do you now get an American or Canadian made Becks?
They must move the contract around quite a bit. The last time i bought Becks it was brewed near Syracuse NY.
Ive never had becks from Germany as i was too young. I love Becks though. Is it noticeably different?
Perhaps you're thinking of the Bass Ale labels from Baldwinsville, credited with the dba of "Wm. Bass & Co."? All the US-brewed Beck's labels have only said "St. Louis, MO" - which doesn't mean it couldn't be brewed at other AB breweries, but the TTB COLAs are all made out for only St. Louis (unlike many other AB brands, which are brewed in multiple AB breweries around the country). Also, "contract" is probably not the correct term, since the brand is owned by AB's parent company, AB-InBev.
I bought 6 pack in Quebec this weekend and it is the imported German made stuff. I was happy to find it.
It is imported from Germany, 330 ml; 11.2 oz bottles/cans, as well as 500 ml cans. Cheapest price per 24 bottle case would be in Quebec, but readily available in Ontario.
