I came here solely to tag you. Glad you already found it. YMMV.

 

Bottle Logic doesn't brew Beer:Barrel:Time, that's Side Project.

 

I'm sure some of these have been mentioned above, but:

BBT - (Beer:Barrel:Time)
OWK - (It's Cory's oldest son's initials, the K is for King but I'm not sure about the O & W)
MJK - Side Project (Cory's other son's initials)
KBBS - Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout
DM - Derivation Medianoche
ADWTD - A Deal With the Devil
VSOJ - Very Special Old Jacket
VSOD - Very Special Old Deth
BVC - Brandy/Vanilla/Cinnamon

I think that’s the only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned. FO = fundamental observation by bottle logic.

when I first traded beers I would have to research what the acronyms were. I would find a beer I wanted that was FT then had to google what the ISO was.

 

Agreed. I think secondary trading has a lot to do with it. People putting beers up for trade and just not wanting to have to spell it all out every time. For sure grounded around laziness.

 

I don't discuss beer with many knowledgeable beer people, so I have no idea what is "generally known," but I use AOM here because Ayinger Oktober Fest-Marzen is well-known and respected and the complete name is quite cumbersome in conversation at nine syllables.

I suppose I should switch to AOFM.

 

DP = Drain Pour

 

Well that's certainly not what it usually means
