Beer Advent Calendars (2023)

Hmmmm good question, my wife usually gets me one from Costco. I’m gonna go annoy her.

 

Wish I had ordered the Levante one. Saw Rusty Rail had one too, but couldn’t get up there to get it. Not like their beer is all that great anyways. Hope you all enjoy your beer advent calendars!

Founders has one that is very limited and available only at the brewery store. It's probably sold out by now.

I saw one in one of my stores from a brewery that I've never heard of, but now I don't recall the brewery name. There are probably others too.

Yes, that's the one. I got mine over a month ago and probably only 3 or 4 left. Most of them are are OK and some of them really good. Seems like a lot more Helles this year. But, I do enjoy this one each year. And, at about $3.00 a pint, you can't beat the price!!

had no idea this was from costco… gifted to me by a friend who i’ve shared beers with over the course of this past year. never done a beer advent calendar before (i feel like my entire life is a beer advent calendar..)

however…

Today's the start day, so why not start? (Certainly before noon has nothing to do with any hesitancy? )

 

So this is my first year for an Beer Advent Calendar. Got the one from Small Batch Dispatch in southern Ontario. Maybe not a good choice. Other beer advent calendars have fun packaging. Not this one. It came in a plain cardboard box with plain cardboard dividers. A small cardboard poster with the numbers 1 to 24 in sequence was plopped on top. How festive!

To add to the charm, I discovered that the beer destined for Christmas Eve was Serpent Tears which comes in a can festooned with skull and blood. Well- ho ho ho!!!

So I switched the cardboard around so that Day 24 becomes Day 1. Somehow I am willing to deal with a beer decorated with skulls and blood on Dec 1st, but maybe not quite the way to usher in Christmas Eve. Maybe that's just me.

Anyway, I'm thinking these folks at Small Batch Dispatch are not really getting the concept.

According to my advent calendar, Christmas is on Thursday

 

Bells has one available in their General Store as well.

 

You must have two extra beers in your calendar pack. (Or you're 5 beers short.) Christmas is the other Thursday (Tuesday).

But if you mean next Thursday you need to exercise some patience and stick to one beer per day.
