So...there's this beer that's been delayed in its' release for a bit, however it is now available. It's one that a lot of people would like to try (or try again). It seems to be on the shelves in the NW, but it goes quickly (hits the shelf at lunchtime and is gone by dinner).
Let's say you happen to see this beer available on your favorite (but still somewhat underground) on-line beer store. There's about 40 bottles available. Do you share that information openly with your fellow Beer Advocates, or do you hold back because your still somewhat secret on-line shop will never again be the same?
I'm not judging either way...it's a tough call these days.

I think you're doing it the right way. I found what you're referring to and almost pulled the trigger but I'm not spending $70 for 2 bottles including packing and shipping.

Thanks for the info though. I'm sure some around here will appreciate being able to get to buy one. It's amazing.

Oh, and from what I've heard, most didn't even touch the shelves up here. It was sold out before the trucks were unloaded.

once again, i curse Massachusetts. Not even for attempting to order what I think you are discussing but just anything in general off that site.

    Berserker? only 22 bottles left.

I pre-ordered a case of it from beership a few months ago. It was $2 cheaper a bottle then. Should arrive on Friday with a case of Black Butte 24. $80 shipping for the 24 bottle shipper, but it'll be split amongst friends.

I love Beership I pre-order tons of stuff.

OP - Dude...do you know any of us? No. I appreciate your dilemma...but after you get what you're looking for, then share.

Call me a dick...but if you shared...and that was the reason you didn't get what you were looking for...that would suck! Although you would have some good Karma, but some people on here are Starwars crazy, no love for other BA geeked out hoarders....

I hate the term I'm about to use but here goes..."real talk."

You have to buy alot to make shipping/packing worthwhile. 24 bombers cost $59 in shipping and $20 for packing - brings it down to $3.29 a bottle - which is not much of a premium to pay to get a beer you wouldn't otherwise be able to get. Go in with a group if you don't want that much beer.

    Inventory is down to 8.

I wonder how many BA's are ordering this beer now only because they get the sense from this thread that it is hard to obtain...

NEVER SHARE your secrets. It's like sharing GPS coordinates of your favorite fishing holes with your closest friends. In two weeks time you will find 10 boats on that spot!

Remember Ben Franklin's maxim: Three can keep a secret provided two are dead.
