Beer... and Cheese in Philly

    The cheese shop was world class. If the bottle shop is half as good it will be pretty great.

    Actually just swung through there today without even knowing they were starting this. The physical space is pretty cool, decently roomy - reminded me of a smaller Food & Friends (on 20th) with the window tables and mix of cooler and shelf/room temp bottles. I wouldn't say the beers are anything exceptional, no options that you can't find elsewhere, and prices seemed on par with or a shade higher than other shops. I will say it seemed like a well-curated selection, mostly above average to very good local and US with a few international options, and mostly the types that I assume would pair well with cheese (lots of lagers, Belgians, and IPAs from what I recall).

    All that said, I don't know shit about cheese, which certainly seems central to the concept, so take it with a grain of...I don't know, cheese I guess.
