If not very old and find yourself dozing off after only one or two beers, i suggest checking your blood glucose as it might be spiking. That’ll make you tired.

I enjoyed a nice nap today after a big Thanksgiving meal and some beers. Fell asleep watching the Saints game. Worked out because then my cousin and I went out and drank to 12am. I love naps when I can get them.

Not that I'd partake in such nefarious activities, but if I did, I might find that weed contributes to long, restful sleep that one with small children, such as myself, has a hard time coming by otherwise.

When I worked 2nd shift I was more prone to naps but now that Im on days and sleep more regular hours, I tend to not do it anymore.

I'm not a napper. If for some reason I would doze off for a bit I found that it makes me feel worse and for the rest of the day my head would be a little fuzzy. Even as I age my energy level is still through the roof and I am just too hyper to be able to do it.

Try to get a 30 - 45 minute nap in every day. Sans beer, though. Sundays are built for napping, as I'm usually in some state of being hungover when I wake up and some breakfast and a nap fixes that with a quickness.

If I go out anywhere for a few beers, when I get home, my wife often says "Are you goin to take a nap now?"
I'll sit down next to her on the couch and say "No" and wake up an hour later to a knowing frown.

My dogs nap with me. Week days my ritual includes a noon lunch, maybe a beer. 45 minutes is very refreshing. At 1 PM I usually watch Gunsmoke through my eyelids, 45 minutes is very refreshing. We arise at 6 AM daily.

I was sleep deprived for about 35 years. High stress job with rotating shifts, poor health, too many worries. I lived a life of quiet desperation and I took frequent naps just to survive. Now I'm retired and most of my stress is gone. I sleep a lot better at night and I don't need sleep during the day like I used to. And I get to savor the beer experience more!

Naps and beer? Yes, please! I wake up between 0530 and 0600 daily, so a short nap in the early afternoon, say about 1300, is very nice. I can sleep anywhere - army taught me to sleep atop chemical bunkers and stacks of crated LAWs.

I tend to do a 16 week training cycle for marathons, and I think at the height of the big mileage weeks, I'll take one - maybe two - naps in a week. That's the most tired I am throughout the year.

In other words, I rarely nap, but I suppose when I do it's usually to prep for a long night of drinking when my friends are in town. Those nights don't so much involve tasty craft, but instead a large quantity of macro.

Nothing better than a beer nap. Except maybe a weed nap.

I get sleepy drinking beer (no matter the time) unless is followed by another one.

Saturday nap after lunch and a beer is almost a ritual for me and my wife now. I love it

A cold one at lunch and an afternoon nap would be very nice, but I think the clients might complain.

Never been a napper. Rarely have any need or desire to. Just can't sleep during the day. Later in the afternoon I might get drowsy (with or without beer) if I slept poorly or just didn't get enough sleep the night before, expended a lot of energy, or had a big meal. But I won't actually nod off until later in the evening (beer or not) and I'm within 2-3 hours of bedtime anyway. Been commuting by train for almost 30 years and have missed my stop a mere handful of times because I nodded off. :persevere:
