Have you ever walked up to a station intending to buy a new beer served in a Growler, got a sample, and said to yourself, nah, I'm going to pass on it. I did. It was a Rye ale from Black Tooth in Sheridan WY. What have you passed on?
I envy people who have access to growler stations since they don't exist over here in my little town of Chicago
Not unusual I wouldn't think. Same as changing your mind on a particular pint and ordering something different after tasting the nip of it. Just a matter of scale. Not all beers are for everyone, but all are made for someone.
Happens all the time. You hear of a beer and want to try it and after you try it, you don't like it. Should not have to buy it. However, if this is your 11th sample and you still haven't bought a growler, I'd recommend throwing something into the tip jar.
I once went to a brewery with my growler in hand. Ordered and had a few brews. After it was all said and done, there was nothing that I wanted to spend my money on, so I left with an empty growler. Even though it wasn't technically a growler station, it was a disappointment. BTW, I never went back.
I recognize that not having growler fill stations is a legitimate complaint, however being originally from Chicago and having been there recently, it is my honest opinion that no one from Chicago is allowed to complain about beer...ever.
