You left a little brewery called Troegs off of that list.

Indeed that'd be nice for the quads, but not as fun when you're looking at 4.9% pilsners.

If it weren't for Prairie, I'd get the hell out of this state fast! We've started to get some distribution of good stuff (Founders, Avery, etc.), but our distributors here are pretty horrendous (old beer problems, mostly). We also are pretty much last on most brewery's lists for limited releases, most likely because our distributors are a bunch of bud-light-drinking-d-bags who don't know anything about beer.

I work for a distributer. I had to tell a sales rep (my favorite of the bunch) that G.I. 312 is not an IPA. 'Yes it is', he said.

Oh - and one time, the oldest rep accused me of drinking beer 'with stuff in it'.

I had to remind him that his Bud Light is brewed with an adjunct, and therefor has 20% more ingredients than most of my favorite beers.

While a large swath of Oregon enjoys so much craft beer they fill lakes with it for speed boat competitions the coast can be a bit more sparse. That said, it's pretty darn good here.

The amount of good of beer in Richmond discourages me from bothering with trading. So many quality imports and beers from across the country that come through this fair city that I haven't even tried yet.

Truer words were never written. And even more true if you add in that they have plenty of imports and craft beers that are quite often old.

Huh? Is Perpetual being discontinued? If so, I need to check the Beer News forum more often.

Texas used to be pretty bad but in the last few years has really stepped it up. We still get fairly small allocations for the size of the State but getting a little Founders, Firestone Walker, etc is better than none at all.

I suppose the imports have always been pretty good. We didn't get Rochefort (for a while) I think it was here, gone, and back again by 2012.

Pretty bad in State College PA but I get to Philly and the Burgh enough.. Neither of those can compare to the Midwest like Chicago.. My god.. their bad days are better than our good ones when it comes to availability...

haven't seen that yet but will keep my eyes open. Looks like a cool can.

Had a Hell or High Watermelon recently. Not as good as the Pineapple but similar.

I live in the Silicon Valley and availability and access are pretty good but not phenomenal. A decent selection of imports can usually be found at BevMo or Whole Foods, along with stuff from a couple dozen or so of the larger California breweries. There are one or two bottle shops in the area that carry better selections from out of state, though.

Craft bars are just popping up in San Jose but they're rather expensive and the beer bars in San Francisco are always much better, if you can justify making the trip there. I'm content with the area, in any case, although it'd be nice to see more East Coast or MI/IL/WI stuff out here.
