Got it, helpful
We can dream. The main problem with this idea is that, outside of dedicated Oxbow and Allagash lines, which would have to rotate through their respective offerings, there isn't a consistent supply of beer from any of the other breweries. I was just told that the load of Fantome Hiver kegs from our distributor "exploded on the truck," which is gonna put a hurt on that set Fantome line.
Sea Hag on tap at Lord Hobo bar tonight. $8/pint. Haven’t seen any NEBCO in Boston for a long time. Lots of other great draft options along w 3F and Resurgam bottles left over from their 10th anniversary but be prepared to shell out some $$$
Boston Beer Alley got Sea Hag cans in this week.
Craft Beer Cellar Westford got some Sea Hag this week that was still there yesterday when I went.
Putting aside the specific breweries, Row 34, and to some extent CBC, tend to have the same diversity and quality of draft options, plus both usually have a option on cask.
I’m a regular to Amesbury & have missed this place opening . I will rectify that tomorrow.
Dive bar that tries its best to be a dive bar with charm.
keno. That golf arcade game. Popcorn. Pierogies. Decent juke box. Corn dogs.
Decent spot for a pint or two
they had a SN Celebration day on Sunday which was essentially just the owner and his mates show up to drink a keg.
but they do find the odd tasty beer to put on the 6 taps they have. Nice compliment to everything else in this awesome wee town.
J. Wakefield Big Poppa still on draft at The Port Tavern in Newburyport. $15 for a 10 oz. pour. Worth it IMO.
Amongst Friends (Barrel-aged Saison with cherries) - Sante Adairius at The Tip Tap Room. $12/5oz.
Looks like the keg of Morning Delight at Beat Brew Hall finally kicked.
Holy crap, $12 for 5 oz.?!
I had Mornin' Delight at Hugh O'Neil's a couple months ago. Was pretty easy to get, people weren't rushing there to get it. Sounds like we're seeing more frequent drops of this.
Went to Hugh O'Neill's this past weekend.
They had Mon Cheri, BCBS '13, '15, and '18 on tap, plus 2019 in bottles. Among other awesome stouts.
Also, they had Tilted Barn's The Other One on tap. Nice to see this is making it into the wild at more than just Banners.
They also do flights, which makes all of the above a bit more manageable.
The 2013 BCBS was awesome by the way.
Has anyone ever been to Beer Geek Cmas at Novare Res? I was up here for Zwanze and this list put it to shame.
I apologize for the blurry picture, hopefully you can make out the beers.
Hope you went with the Fermentery Form.
That Stille Nacht Riserva though...
I went with the Utopias (only ~$20 for a 1-2 oz. pour, not too shabby), Triple Sunshine on draft, the Cantillon St. Lamvinus, and then a bunch of other Cantillon I don't remember.
Again, apologies for the fuzzy image...or maybe it was me that was fuzzy at that point?
I'm trying to get the full list from a buddy that was there with us.
Ah thank you!
Ok, so I had Utopias '17, good to know. Pretty sure we also had some Dinner.
We started the party at Bissell around noon, and my receipt from Novare is at 10:54 pm...so it's understandable I couldn't take a proper picture.
Kinda funny, I'm sitting at an Unos and they have CBS is on tap 14 oz pour for $8.50. How times have changed.
Uno's better offer that in pitchers or GTFO.
Damn, that’s an irresponsibly good price and serving size.
Haha someone's gonna lose their job when corporate looks at their COGS for December.
Must be something w/ Founders reps. Here in NY a few years ago we had KBS on at growler stations in Price Chopper grocery stores.
$9.99 fills.... for 64oz.
.....they wanted it to be year round.
Saw that Bissell Brothers Engram and Umbra were on tap at Publick House on the 22nd. They've since updated their tap list and they're both gone.
Was this for an event?
they had a tap takeover on the 14th. Eight bissell beers were on.
Dinner on tap at Five Horses in Davis and Lu Lu’s. Also on deck at Publick House.
This has been pretty easy to find recently.
Hugh O'Neill's beer list is rockin right now. Draft list includes BCBS '13 and '15, Barrel Aged Delirium Noel, Saison Dupont Dry Hopping 2019, CBS on nitro, Marshall Zukov, Prairie Bible Belt, Black Ops, Jackie O's Dark Apparition. Plus bottles of 3F A&G, Kriek and Geuze and Prairie Barrel Aged Birthday Bomb. Also some hoppy stuff :-)
All draft options available in half pours or flights too!
The BCBS ‘13 is killer. I had it on two different occasions there. The ‘15 tasted off, I wonder if it was an infected keg.
I've been told that any '15 you see in the wild has been tested for infections. I actually preferred the '15 to the '13.
At Hugh O’Neill’s, or in general?
I imagine it would be easy to have an infected keg or bottles. Especially if a bar/liquor store didn’t know any better and has been just sitting on it for four years.
I don't know if it qualifies as a beer bar, but I was at Uno's in Framingham for dinner tonight and they had CBS on tap. 10 oz pour was 11.50. Worth it IMO.
Not a great pairing for pizza... but I couldn't pass it up.
