I had a Breakfast stout out of the bottle last night for the first time and found i enjoyed it even more than i do when it is from a glass! What are some other beers that you find you enjoy more out of the bottle?

All !!! Only canned beer I've had in the last 2 years was a couple of lagers and a Caldera because they don't sell them in bottles here. Very rarely do I pour stuff into a pint glass and cross examine it. Pop the top and let it rock !!!

What @PuckIt said. Good beer is almost alway better poured into a glass. And not for appearance's sake, but for the aroma created by the openness of a proper glass. Aroma and taste are intrinsically linked.

The re-enforce what @PuckIt posted: the only reason to drink beer from the bottle vs. poring it into a glass is if you don't like the aroma of the beer you are drinking.

    Cheers!

I was somewhat forced (only had tiny plastic cups) to drink some Deschutes' Inversion IPA straight from the bottle recently, and had no problem at all enjoying either its aroma or taste.

Hefeweizens are great from the bottle. Ales, not so good.

I usually drink Heady out of the can, as demanded by the can itself.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure hefes are ales.

for me I avoid drinking from the bottle unless there is no cup of some sort. I will always drink beer out of a can but occasionally pour canned beer into a glass.

Barrel aged beers, barleywines, old ales, and stouts are almost always better from a bottle.

Not to play devil's advocate here but you can smell a beer through the top of a bottle. Don't get me wrong, I always pour beer into a glass because I do prefer it that way. Technically, pouring a beer into the glass will cause the aroma to dissipate more quickly. Anyways, it's just a thought.

Only AALs. Other beers are just too good to try to experience through that half-inch opening.
