Reviving an older thread... I've bought one of these bottle cutters...

I crack the glass by spinning the bottle on a turntable while using a small butane torch on the score. I'm at about 90% success rate with very smooth cuts. My biggest problem is smoothing the edges... I've been using sandpaper and maybe I just need more patience, but does anyone have any success or ideas on hot to polish the edges using a torch?

Also reviving this old thread that I came upon by accident. My name is Murray and I have been cutting glass bottles for more than 2 decades and turning them into drinking glasses, bottle lamps and a bunch of other items. After trying every bottle cutting process on the planet, I developed my own which I feel is the cleanest, most reliable, and most consistent process that delivers perfect results 100% of the time. If you are interested, I have uploaded a video here: https://www.youtube.com/embed/QE28BZPcX9A?rel=0
I also have a pretty efficient way to polish the edges of cut bottles but haven't posted the video yet.
