You look bored waiting for that water to boil. Put a lid on as much of the kettle as what you can cover until it starts boiling.

I was looking into a Jet burner to get the boil quicker and I thought,.. man that's too much BTU, it will destroy the pot.. now I'm like,.. fuck that, crank up the Afterburners! :grinning:

I don't particularly like to watch water boil. It's pretty boring, lol. So I went electrical.

I used to have a three burner electric stove and split my wort among three pots, each sized differently according to the burner. It wasn't exactly fast but it worked.

    It's bottled! :grinning:

This is my best brew to date... You know you got a good beer when you think if waiting for it to carbonate is worth it! I could honestly drink it flat,.. it's that good... but i will wait. Recipe says 12-20 weeks which would put us right around easter. Do I really have to wait that long :astonished:?

What's the ABV on this beer? Sometimes higher alcohol beers do take longer to carbonate because the yeast may be tired or possibly stunned from the alcohol. I normally check a first bottle after 10 days and decide from there how much longer to wait for good carbonation before starting to drink them.

That ABV is borderline whether it will be a slow carbonation period in my experience, but you should have at least a little pssst when uncapping your first one around 10 day mark. But your beer will improve its taste with bottle conditioning over a longer time period so the 10 week mark is reasonable for its peak flavor.
