I can only afford to spend about $20 per week on booze, so two six packs of something strong

    My budget is $ 50/ week but I usually exceed that by $ 20 - $ 50.

And it doesn't have any effect on what I buy [although I do gravitate toward the cheap side. No it's actually the bang for the buck side].

Thankfully no budget, but restraint and moderation are (sometimes :-) ) a consideration...

I try not to add up the purchases every month....would probably scare me......I know I have had months when it was close to $300 if there was a special release that I stocked up on...

I stumbled across this site. The prices are not bad and so far the service has been good and I have gotten what I paid for.

After a recent Hill Farmstead visit I realized I've been spending WAY too much on beer... however, until I have kids and really need to focus on saving, I'll just plug my eyes and ears when the bill is handed to me.

Although that charge definitely got me thinking about beer money. Plus, NYC is expensive as hell in general and beer prices are a bid absurd here, for the most part.

I dont have a budget. I don't drink every day so whenever i'm in the mood for a beer I go to the local bottle shop or the local craft beer bar and spend whatever.

It also depends on can release. If other half is releasing something new I have never had i will probably pick up a couple 4 pack of each, which really adds up.

The words "beer" and "budget" don't belong in the same sentence. :slight_frown:

I try to have a new beer every day for breakfast as well as some standbys (Old Raspy, Schlenkerla, Breakfast Stout, etc) for later in the evening. No budget per se - I spend what I need to meet sentence #1's requirements - so far this July it's been about $ 350. Next month will be a lot lower unless we head to TX. I don't drink in bars or brew pubs unless Mrs. Lizard are out for dinner; then I have only two beers since I'll be driving.

It really varies. If I decide I want to stay home and pillage the cellar a bit, then I can spend as little as $15 a week. I also like to indulge when I go out, so it can be substantially higher. I go to my local shop every Friday to see "what's new" and go from there. Typically I estimate it's around $250 is what I spend, but there is no budget. If I want something I find a way to grab it even if funds are low.

...This was, of course, before I found a random bottle of The Abyss sitting on the shelf. *sigh*.

Right now I try to stay under $80 a month. We just started budgeting everything a few months ago and I've been able to bring the beer budget up $30 in that time which is good, because $50 a month just wasn't cutting it.
