Beer Burps

good thread idea. I don't notice any flavors if i have to burp. I can and usually will suppress my burp to the point of inaudibility but, if i am amongst certain company, i usually try to make my burp as loud and disgusting as possible, just for fun. We even modulate the tone and give it different inflections. We call this "style". The more obnoxious the funnier it is. Loud is good, but if you have superior style, style always wins.

I hear what you're saying about additional flavors. The other night I burped and it tasted like chili.

Odd that I had never given this topic much thought until just now.

You know what the best is? Costco Polish Sausage burps.

 

Those literally smell like farts.

 

Immature? That alone get's my vote for thread of the year. I once ate a plate of Kimchee and slammed a Sapporo. My Ghod, the burp that ensued not only wrecked my sense of smell and taste it also destroyed all my friend appetites.
Beware the beer burp, it can mark you for life!

 

I catch hints of dill/pickles out of la cumbres two nelson sauvin ipas. Maybe it's the sorachi ace hops.
Not much in the aroma or taste initially. Burps bring out the flavors

grapefruit sculpin (imo) is not a big "wower"....but the burps....they are the best!

Yea Ranbot makes the best point. The "hidden flavors" you didn't get when drinking the beer were the not so hidden flavors of your lunch a couple hours before said beer.

 

I really enjoy the beer burps I get after drinking Pliny the Elder... So lovely!
