I've got one I snagged at Right Brain. I dig them for something really light like a pilsner or a koelsch.

You guys make me want to try one. I have a slew of "proper glassware" but I a not a stickler for the theory. In a pinch I'll drink good beer out of any clean vessel.

I had a Wachusett Pumpkan one, but it broke when I was washing it. The walls were really thin on it so when I tapped it on the side of the sink it shattered in my hand. I hate that beer, but loved the glass. RIP!

Got a Founders All Day IPA can shaped glass as a freebie for trying some Founders Brews one time. I'll take a free glass for having a glass of KBS any day.

At least they are a full pint, unlike a shaker.

I think it's a pretty cool shape, I mean, it's certainly unique. I suppose that's the downfall of the "unique" niche market though - I thought drinking out of mason jars was cool when I only knew one person that did it, now that there's "redneck wine glasses" that are just mason jars with a stem attached, I have to say that the quirk got old. If something is perceived as unique, it needs to stay unique or else it may lose its edge, it may help that I'm a hipster though.

I almost bought a Pizza Port one like that, but then I realized they don't appear to be stackable. Then I couldn't think of any beer I'd prefer to drink out of it anyway and passed. They're really cool looking but rather impractical, IMO.

It's my go to glass for IPAs/DIPAs. Of course the one I have is from Hilliards Brewing, sadly. I'll be replacing it with a Fremont one asap.

beer can glasses are great when filled with michelob ultra while snuggled up next to a penis-shaped pillow

I believe it was the weekend of the Chomolungma Day promo, very hard not to have sticky fingers for this vessel, I agree w/the OP, it concentrates at the rim.

    Gimmicky, imo.
That being said I wouldn't turn one down if offered to me for free.
I always joke around with the #properglassware thing. Personally I go with the belief that you use what you want!

How thick is the glass? The ones I've seen look really thin, almost feels like plastic.

I have this one from Terrapin:

I like it and will alternate it with using a pint. Doesn't matter if a Terrapin brew is going in it or not. Cheers.

They've been around here for a couple years. I don't particularly care for them, but don't really mind if a beer is served in one. Count me with the folks voting "gimmicky".

Someone just bought me a beer can shaped glass that is made out of aluminum
Not sure how well that's going to work out with some good craft beer in it, but I will find out tonight...
