Hello everyone! I'm looking for help trying to identify the two beer caps in the picture below. I've been collecting for a couple years but never sorted thru until now. These are the only two beer caps I can't identify and any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Santa is from the Bad Elf / Very Bad Elf etc line of beers from Ridgeway Brewing.

I think the other cap is from a Pennsylvania brewery, but I could be wrong - I received one from a friend in PA. IIRC, the "A" is for someone's last name.

Thanks @toolbrew! You're definitely right about the Santa cap being from Ridgeway. I should've figured that out. And thanks for the lead on the "A" cap! I found out its from the Pittsburgh Brewing Co and the beer was called Augustiner. Your memory was correct. Cheers!

Doubt that those crowns are from the era after Pittsburgh Brewing Co. briefly changed its corporate name to Iron City Brewing Co. (around 2007) since the "PBC" logo is clearly visible in the center. The company changed the corporate name back to Pittsburgh Brewing Co. in 2012, a couple of years after they closed the actual brewery in Pittsburgh. Even before Prohibition, the company often used both names.

Pittsburgh/Iron City Brewing marketed dozens of labels in its post-Repeal history, including Augustiner (a brand they acquired in mid-1970s after buying the brands of August Wagner Brewing Co. of Columbus, OH). Now a contract-brewer (beers brewed at City's Latrobe facility as noted below), they were still marketing Augustiner in recent years (note similar "A" as on the OP's crown) but is no longer listed on their website.

Like I said the A Does look Familiar...
But Augustiner to me is from Germany
For a Minute I was thinking the A looked like an Avery Beer Cap.

Why When I open a Bottle..
I try to document the Bottle, Cap, Lable with as Much Information as I can..I do forget every now and then

The Ridgeway Brewery, UK produced a set of 4 x 'Santa' crowncaps in 2007 and the example shown above was one of them. Images of all four caps can be found on the vast database provided on the collectors website: http://www.crowncaps.info/index.php then click on the link to CC.I Crown Cap Catalog', then select 'Browse - Producers', type in 'Ridgeway' and then select 'Search'.

The brewery actually produce beer all year round but their best beers are, in my opinion, produced for the festive season and include...as mentioned elsewhere Bad Elf, Very Bad Elf, Insanely Bad Elf, Criminally Bad Elf, Seriously Bad Elf, Santa's Butt, Lump of Coal, Reindeer's Revolt and Reindeer Droppings.
