Beer casualty

    I received small shipment from an online retailer today and one of the bottles was broken. I felt the packaging was poor. I emailed them and included the pictures below. Should I expect them to make things right or am I SOL. I do not want to give name yet until I get a response.

    Such a waste of a great beer and only because of terrible packaging. There was only a partial styrofoam shipper that did not even fit the box and 4 sheets of brown paper.

    Absolutely you should expect them to make good, at least given the evidence you've presented. And you're right to not name the business until they have the chance to resolve the issue.

    Given that this is simply a problem with a beer retailer that's pending a response, I'm gonna lock this one. Good luck & hope you get a new bottle of The Abyss ASAP!
