Thanks for all the advice dudes (and dudettes?) It's a tough call on Tree House. Def seems out of the way...but at the same time....If I'm driving all this way anyway. Maybe it's worth it. It's pretty hard to find trades for TH stuff in my neck of the woods.

I'm pretty stoked for Portland. I think that's where we'll spend most of our time (4 days). I hit up Bissell Bros on instagram and they said they should be in their new location by June, so that's pretty cool. My daughter is pretty low-maintenance too, so that should help. I find she does ok with most breweries I've taken her to in PA. (Tired Hands, Hidden River, Stickman, etc.)

The real question is, if I put her in a big suit and give her a fake mustache, will the breweries fall for it and give her an allotment?

Just wanted to chime in on Portland. Finally made it up there the past 4 days to visit family. I found all of Allagash, Rising Tide, Foundation, Bissell Brothers and Maine Beer Co to be kid friendly. I had my 5 year old with me at all of them. Quick points on them, Allagash is the safest ... Fully fenced in large outdoor area. All three of Rising Tide, Foundation and Bissell Bros have small roped off areas in parking lots. They are not on what I would call major streets. If it is raining, you will be very cramped. That said, with Bissell moving and Foundation expanding ... Can't exactly say what either will be like when you go. I found MBC to be fine for my son. Enjoy them all. Definitely recommend Maine Wildlife Park in Gray as well as Freeport for your wife and daughter.

Thanks man. I'm pretty excited to go, and my daughter is chill, so i'm not too worried about her. It seems like Bissell Bros will be in their new location, but hopefully that means their production is upped a little too. The area in-general pretty cool for the family? I think we're gonna end up being there for 4 days.

Family thoroughly enjoyed it. We, admittedly, stayed with my brother-in-law and wife who live there so we had built in tour guide to help with some cool spots on the water to hang out, eat, etc.

Hey all. I'm from just outside of Philly, and decided it's time to take a pilgrimage. My wife, my 4 1/2 year old daughter, and I are planning to hit up Mystic, CT, Boston, MA, and Portland, ME this June.

Beer-wise, I'll certainly be hitting up Tree House, Trillium, Bissell Bros and MBC, but is there anything else I should be looking for?

Also, what sort of good family stuff? Are the breweries generally child friendly? I think we plan on doing some tourist-y stuff like the aquarium in CT and maybe the historical trail in Boston.

We're gonna try airbnb as well, so fingers crossed on that. Seems like some nice places to stay in the areas.

Anyway, just looking for any tips or advice. Done a fair bit of travel in my day, but never really ventured into the NE area. Pretty excited.
