Beer code help!

    I bought a bottle of Altenmunster winterbier dopplebock but I dont know how to read the bottle code and their website is in German. Can anyone help me out and break this code. 03 L285"BOX"3 C . The "BOX" is like a solid rectangle the same size as the other letters and numbers. Thanks. They also had a Maibock that had the code 11 L052M3 D

    The Maibock suggests it was bottled or best by the 52nd day of 2011 so...if I'm reading it right, it
    s 2003 for the Winter?

    I was thinking that but the 03 couldnt really mean 2003? could it? that is aged.ha
