I'm not talking about the beer that you drink, like the clown asking if it'll taste the same when you pee it out in that one thread a few weeks back. I'm talking about what you do with your empties. Anything creative? My friend the DJ recommends using old Boulevard-type 6 & 12 packs for storing vinyl records. Re-use, recycle!!!

For the past few years, my wife and I give all our recyclables to a friend who had a baby a few years ago. They take the money from 5 cent redemption and put it into a 529 College Savings Plan.

I give my empty bottles to the municipal recycling service.

I did save a Westvleteren bottle. It makes a decent rolling pin.

Anyone use 3L Chimay or Stone bottles to stop crime?

Recycle all my bottles. I did keep an original Evil Twin Cat's Piss bottle as he was forced to change all bottles shipped here to Katz Pizz. I keep it on a shelf in my office. It makes for a great conversation piece.

I send pretty much of all my beer containers to recycling facilities.

I keep one of each can design and sixer box from 21st Amendment, just because I think they're gorgeous.

I've also saved my Serendipity bottle because I love the label and the beer has special significance to me. I also hope to one day get bottles of Raspberry Tart and Wisconsin Belgian Red and turn all three into flower vases.

I recycle the cans. I haven't recycled glass since our local Allied got busted for incinerating the glass that people were putting in their glass recycling bins a couple years ago.

We're collecting tops, tabs, cages, and corks to eventually pump into some creative effort. Not sure what though..

Used to give my empties to homebrewer friends, until they stopped bottling (or homebrewing). Now I just recycle everything.

I took all cans and bottles to hyvee recycling when i lived in iowa to get money back. Now I recycle almost everything. I keep all bottle caps and save empty bombers if i like the artwork. I have 5 or 6 that are displayed on my bookshelf.

For bottles with etched on labels, I have been cutting them down into drinking glasses.
For paper/plastic labels I peel the label (long term project I've got going on with them), and wash out the bottles, either to brew into, or just to take to the recycling center.

I recycle mine for free. I wish I got paid to do something I was going to do anyway.

i keep my bottles for a month and return them for the CRV and take that cash to the store and buy a beer using only the money from recycling starting the whole process over.

I always recycle mine; I have an empty box that once held a case of SN Bigfoot, so I wait to recycle them until the box is full. If it's a special one, I'll keep one bottle for display on my bookshelf.

I put them out on the curb once a week and then they're added to the cart of whichever bottle-and-can-picker finds them first.
