Beer Day at Jeffo's in Waterloo

    Hi everyone,

    Time for the 5th annual Beer Day at my place in Waterloo, Ontario this summer. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Here are the details:

    Date: Saturday 8 August (Sunday rain date)
    Time: 1 pm
    Place: My house in Waterloo

    I'll have around 6 bottles I'd like to share and will also take care of hamburgers and condiments for everyone who decides to come. There is a pool in our back yard as well, so feel free to bring the swim trunks if you want to go for a dip. :slight_smile:

    For you guys, think of bringing two large format bottles (or equivalent) to share with the group. It'd be nice if they weren't something we could just go down to the LCBO and buy on the way over, but honestly, we're definitely not picky and it's more about hanging out and having a good time. Any and all homebrew is welcome too, no matter where on the scale from awful to terrible they may fall. Finally, it'd be great if you could bring some kind of snack. Perhaps a small bag of chips, nuts, cheese or meat. Just something small to snack on.

    There's no real limit on the number of people per se, so everyone is welcome. If you have a friend who's interested, bring him/her along. I'm not on Bar Towel, so if you know someone over there who'd be interested, invite them as well.

    Please post in the thread if you're coming and I will start a convo later on and shoot you all my address. If there are any questions, please post them in the thread.

    Wow. This sounds excellent! I love the open invitation and welcome. If I was anywhere near your area at that time I'd try to make it. Unfortunately I live in AB. Great idea and the hospitality shown here is rarely shown in our day and age. I salute you and I hope you have a great day!

    I think I was there for the first, maybe second. Wish I could have stayed longer. Was a great gathering. I've added it to my calendar in hours I'm off work that day. Thanks for hosting again!

    There are some places downtown Waterloo, Joe. Though I'm not sure Beer Day at Jeffo's has made it "book a bed" status just yet :stuck_out_tongue:
