I'm with a group of 17 coming into NYC this weekend for the MNU vs Cosmos match. We are staying in Flushing, really close to the tennis stadium. Obviously with such a large group, it would be nice to have some options close to where we are staying.

Can anyone suggest a decent bottle shop near 108th and 46th in Flushing?

Can anyone suggest some decent bars?

Are there any bars or bottle shops that are a single train away? It looks like we will be closest to the 7 train.

Also, I'd probably be up for an IP trade if anyone is interested in some MN/WI/IA stuff.

Just a heads up that most of these recommendations will be fairly difficult to get to via public transportation.

Alewife is probably the easiest of the ones mentioned (would be about 30-40min via the 7 train). The others will require multiple trains or buses. Alewife is also a large place that could definitely accommodate your group.

You'd probably be better off just taking the 7 into Manhattan and hit up the midtown bars (Rattle n Hum, Ginger Man, Beer Authority, and Beer Culture for a bottle shop).

3rd Singlecut. Never been to the brewery, despite the fact my girlfriend lives 3 minute from it, but I have had plenty of their beers and they are legit! The DIPA, Billy Half Stack (or Full Stack? Can't remember) was very, very good.
