Dork. Complete dork here. Be aware that having an open obsession or passion with something will get you branded as snobby in our society. Sad but true. You can intimidate or be off-putting to people if you barrage them with a lot of facts and esoteric knowledge. Got to test the waters.

I know too much, I appear to be too current with the beer scene, practically raised on Cigar City, Angry Chair and Cycle beers, I will not drink Samuel Adams, therefore, I am a snob.

I wouldn't want to be confused with a beer penis either. :grimacing:

I'm pretty sure there are a few beer dicks around here though! (comment not directed at anyone specifically)

Dork, beer snobs look down on others and the beer they are drinking. I never look down on people for the beer they drink. At least not consciously.

Dorks only harm themselves. Snobs harm others.

Choosing to be one or the other is basically choosing between being a giant Douche or Shit Sandwich

I like to go to off the beaten path sort of places to eat and for this reason I was once referred to as a "foodie". While I am not certain exactly what behavior must be exhibited in order to be called a "foodie" my first reaction was to punch the person for calling me such a stupid name. Imagine being called a "beerie".......
