I originally cooked and baked for a living so thought I would give this a try. Having been to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans and experienced their beignets made me more motivated. Followed the beignet recipe and used a stout beer but it needed more moisture.added another four ounces of beer as well as evaporated milk and my mixer motor started to smoke and burnt out. Still they came out okay but the beer flavor doesn't really come through but a fun experiment nonetheless.
