Similar things here in Raleigh. Places are still open and touting their stepped-up sanitation efforts. Lonerider has cancelled brewery tours and growler refills, but their St. Patrick's Day party went on yesterday, which surprised me. Raleigh Brewing had their 7th anniversary party last weekend.

Homebrew comps are being cancelled/postponed left and right, too. NHC for instance. 42nd Annual Mayfaire Comp, postponed too.

Short's Brewing Co. Announces 16th Anniversary Party Date Change

Bellaire, Mich. – Short’s Brewing Company, northern Michigan’s largest brewery, is turning 16 years old this year. Starting with their 10th Anniversary Party, the brewery has hosted an outdoor street party for the last 6 years.

Originally scheduled for April 25th, due to the spread of COVID-19, Short’s has decided to re-schedule for October 17th. “We want nothing more than to party with you in large groups less than six feet apart. We are moving the date to when we hope this is feasible again,” said Scott Newman-Bale CEO of Short’s Brewing Co.

The 16th Anniversary party will bring over an estimated 3,000 people to Bellaire, shutting down the streets of downtown. The party offers attendees 35 unique beers and ciders on tap, food from local food trucks and their very own brewpub, as well as live music throughout the day.

To continue the brewery’s efforts in keeping Bellaire prosperous and beautiful, Short’s will donate proceeds from the party to the Village of Bellaire Downtown Development Authority. The brewery’s neighbors will also be open for business during the celebration so party goers can check out everything that Bellaire has to offer.

Due to the date change, a number of tickets have become available to the formerly sold out Pre-Party. To purchase Pre-Party or general admission tickets, or find more event information, please visit shortsbrewing.com/anniparty.

If you already purchased your tickets to the April 25th party and did not receive an email about ticket options, please email [email protected] for information.

    About Short’s Brewing Company
Located in the heart of Downtown Bellaire, MI, Short’s Brewing Co. was established in 2004 by Joe Short. In 2009, Short’s began keg and bottle distribution in Michigan via their Elk Rapids Production Facility. Starcut Ciders is a division of Short’s Brewing Company born out of a desire to celebrate the bounty of Michigan orchards. The brewery is known widely for their flagship and experimental brews including Huma Lupa Licious and Soft Parade. Short’s prides themselves on producing fearlessly creative beers, handmade by people who care in Northern Michigan.

Sounds like the Govt. just indicated Easter is the new target date so I would imagine all events thru that date would be postponed or cancelled. Lets just hope on the other end of this things will return and these events won't be gone for good.
    Cheers

I reckon that the Easter date is a pipe dream. April will probably make March look like a walk through the park. I really hope that I am wrong.

I was thinking the same, with everything going on its hard to think life will just pop back into place. Its a bad spot, we need to get the economy rolling but we need to protect everyone, not sure what the hell we do as a country. I guess we will see soon.
    Cheers

A few days ago Mondial de la bière in Montreal rescheduled from late May to early October. I was planning to go but scuttled the plan even before the change of date.

    From our friends in KC:

    An Important Update from Boulevardia
    [IMG][IMG]
Providing a safe, secure, and healthy environment for our pop-up party nation is our top priority. With that in mind, Boulevardia is being canceled for 2020.

We realize the impact this decision makes on our charity partners, vendors, makers, and patrons. This decision was made with respect to the ever-changing public health situation and with the goal of allowing our community time to focus on their personal health and well-being and in the interest of bringing this festival back in 2021.

All tickets and hotel packages purchased through our website will be refunded with no further action necessary. Please allow 10-14 days for the refund to process.

Hotel rooms booked through our Crown Center hotel partners via the link on our website will be automatically canceled and no further action is necessary. Please visit our website for more information or check out the details below.

It’s been said, "the comeback is always stronger than the setback." We believe that to be true and we believe this festival and our community will come back stronger than ever before.

Hang in there, Kansas City. We’ll be raising a glass together again soon.

    And the Bruery...

Anniversary Event - It is with great disappointment that we must announce the postponement of our 12th Anniversary Invitational Festival. We were hopeful that the situation would change as we had big plans for this year’s party, however, the health and safety of our Bruers, members, and guests ultimately drove this decision. The festival will be held at the same location on May 22, 2021, and many of the breweries have already committed to joining us for next year. We know it’s a bit of wait, but that just means we will all have an extra year of partying stored up and ready to be unleashed. If you already purchased a ticket, it is valid for next year’s festival. In addition, we will be issuing a limited edition gift to anyone who elects to keep their tickets for next year. If you wish to have your tickets refunded, please reach out to [email protected]. Due to the extensive planning and preparation required to throw an event of this magnitude, we will only be able to issue refunds through 5/31/20; otherwise, your ticket will automatically be valid for the 2021 festival.
