I have never been to the beer fest in Gaston County, was just wondering if anyone on here has been to it and what they thought about it. Was there anything outstanding there? Just wondering if I can get anything there that I can't already taste at the Hops Fest! Cheers, Eric
I served Mother Earth brews there last year and had a blast. You'll get to try a lot of local stuff out - at least three new breweries will be represented (Triple C Brewing, Four Saints Brewing and Heist Brewing) & you're sure to run across some great one-off brews. It was a killer turn out last year - I'd be there but I have a horrible basketball game to attend (Bobcats & Pistons).
Went last year - and it was very nice to get a sneak peak at NODA and Ass Clown Brewing.... I'm sure NODA and Ass Clown will be back this year. Good turn out and a nice selection of local brews - and as Mantooth points out, should have another nice preview of local breweries coming online in the near future.....
I had a blast the last two years - it's a ballpark, so you can literally walk around in bare feet drinking beer. Great atmosphere.
I volunteered last year and was given my pick of two breweries to work with - Ass Clown or Mother Earth... went with ME. Ass Clown - worst brewery name ever? Did anyone go to the event? Curious if I missed anything. BTW - love John Coltrane.
